What Does It Really Cost?

When I wake up in the morning, I go through my closet and pick out one of numerous outfits to wear. I generally don't have to iron because I get all of my clothes dry cleaned. I hop into the shower, get myself dressed, and get breakfast while I watch the news on one of my three flat panel televisions. I have two cell phones. As I eat breakfast, I check my Blackberry to see if I have any emails from work. Then I check my iPhone to see what I have scheduled for the day. I have an iPad2 and a MacBookPro. I have a few iPod Classics, two iPod Nanos, and an iPod Touch. I use each gadget for something different.

After breakfast, I get my bag and head out the door to my car. I drive a Mercedes E320. I also have an Acura 3.2. TL. It takes $75 to fill up the Mercedes.

So, what's the point of everything that you've read so far?

As you read, did you ask yourself, "Why does she have two phones?" or "Why does she need so many iPods?" or even, "Why can't she just iron her clothes?" Well, if you asked any of those questions, you are already using something called "the inner voice."

Sometimes, when you read, questions arise. When they do, you can write them down on a sticky note, place a question mark on the passage, or even circle it. I want you to look at the pictures below - and then write down anything that you think about what you've seen. Pay special attention to the last 4 pictures. I want you to tell me where you think those children live (Don't worry. You won't be penalized for guessing).

After you've done that, watch the video. While watching, write down questions that come to mind as you were viewing it.....

Then, let's chat....
